Starting out, levels 1 to 10, it's all pretty much spoon-fed. You're stuck in that little beginner area, doing all those intro quests. Honestly, you can't really skip 'em, especially with the Dragon Master. Those early quests? They give you your first skills and those crucial SP points. I just buckled down and got 'em over with. Whacked whatever little critters they pointed me at. No brainer, really, just follow the arrows.

Then, 10 to 20. Finally broke free of the starting chains! More Dragon Master-specific quests popped up. Again, do these quests. They're not just for show; more SP points, which you absolutely need. I remember pumping points into Magic Missile first, 'cause, you know, gotta have some attack. Then started working on that Dragon Soul thing. Honestly, just sticking to the storyline quests pretty much carried me to level 20 without too much mindless grinding. Oh, and a little tip I picked up – around level 15, you can start selling your fame. Yeah, that little number. Some folks buy it, easy bit of starting cash. Every little bit helps when you're new.

Okay, so hit level 20. Now what? I headed over to the Magic Forest. Some people swear by jumping straight into party quests at 20. And yeah, if you can get a good group, those can be super fast. I kinda mixed it up. Did some grinding on my own in the forest – those green slimes, mushroomy things, you know the drill. But if a party quest group was forming, I'd jump in. No shame in that, EXP is EXP.

Levels 31 to 50, this is where it started to feel like a bit more of a grind. The Carnival, if you could find a decent party, that was the spot. Could practically live there all the way to 50 if you had the stomach for it. Some days, though, finding a Carnival party was a nightmare, or I just got sick of it. When that happened, around level 35 or so, I'd sometimes sneak off to grind on Little Ghosts. Decent EXP, a bit more chill. And yeah, places like Warrior Tribe and the Dark Gate started opening up. More challenging mobs, good for a change of scenery if nothing else.

Getting past 50 felt like a milestone. For levels 51 to 70, the Temple of Time became my new best friend. Or worst enemy, depending on the day. Lots of grinding there, a few quests mixed in. People also talked about Devil Island, but I mostly just found a good rotation in the Temple of Time and stuck with it. Put on some music, zoned out, and just whacked mobs. This stretch, I gotta be honest, could feel pretty slow at times. You just gotta push through.

Then, the higher levels, say 71 and onwards. People always point you towards places like the Horror Cave and Mu Lung. And yeah, they're not wrong. More grinding, tougher monsters. By this point, it's all about finding maps with good spawn rates and just going at it. I did a bunch of the quests in Mu Lung too; they helped break up the monotony of pure grinding and gave some decent chunks of EXP. Finding a good map where you can just efficiently clear mobs, that's the name of the game.

Look, leveling any character in this game takes time. The Dragon Master ain't different. My route? It was just what worked for me. Sometimes I'd find a random map that wasn't in any guide but had good spawn and I'd just stay there for a bit. The key is to mix it up so you don't go completely bonkers. Do those theme dungeons when they open up, they usually give good EXP and a break from the endless mob killing. So yeah, that's how I muddled through. No secret sauce, just a lot of hours put in.
